Getting a Library Card
1. Library cards will be issued upon request up to 15 minutes before closing.

2. Two pieces of identification are necessary. We will accept a driver’s license, state ID, Motor vehicle registration, Motor vehicle renewal, checkbook, insurance card, current tax or utility bill, credit card bill or a piece of mail addressed to the patron and not postmarked more than 30 days previous to the request for a new card. (Current name and address must be on both pieces of identification!)

3. Patrons should be reminded to keep their library cards with them to check out materials. A photo ID with current address may be substituted in lieu of a current library card at the discretion of the library staff as long as the patron is registered in the database. You can check your account from home by going to My Account through iBistro, our web catalog (Search FAQ's). Type in your full library card number, and there is a default password which you can change. If you need assistance, please contact the Adult Reference/Information Desk at 847-428-3661 x308.

Lost Library Cards
1.  If a patron loses a library card, the process for obtaining a new card is the same as issuing a card for the first time.
2.  Lost library cards are $1 to replace and 2 forms if ID are required.
